LOCK DOWN INDIA DUE TO COVID-19

The current situation before India including the world is well known covid-19 which is declared as epidemic diseases in India and world-wide. The various authorities in India are shut down to prevent the spreading of this extremely harmful virus. The Government of India first issues the guidelines to the state and people of the country and thereafter started lock down.

In this situation a common question arises in our mind what is the step of the judiciary in prevention of this virus. I through this article would like to inform you all readers the following:-

  • That the Hon’ble supreme court of India after limit the hearing of most urgent cases by considering the advisory of the government of India. Now the Hon’ble supreme court is taking the extreme precaution and limit the only one bench of chief justice of India to heard the most important cases.
  • That the Delhi high court vide order dated 23.03.2020 close the almost all court and staff and courts subordinate to it. In this respect issued various guidelines to hear the matter of extreme Importance. Now the functioning of Delhi High Court and subordinate courts suspended till 04.04.2020 till further order.
  • The Tribunal like Consumer Forum, Armed Forces Tribunal, Central Administrative tribunal, and all other benches suspended the work till further order and now limit to heard the cases of extreme importance on mentioning before the registry or the bench as the case may be.

Now the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India announces the complete lockdown of the country to win over the extremely dangerous Corona virus (covid-19) by way of social distancing. So, all the People of nation has advised and compel to reside at home till 21 days from 24.03.2020.
